It had various developments and distributor changes. Montecristo No.2 is popular. After industry nationalization, production resumed in the Dominican Republic. Now owned by Altadis USA, it has diverse selections like the Classic Series with a high-grade Connecticut wrapper.

A Nicaraguan puro, the dark brown, Jalapa-grown wrapper conceals Nicaraguan long-fillers bound with a criollo leaf from the island of Ometepe. Medium to full in body with ample complex flavors like leather, earth, and espresso, it's smooth and rich all the way though. Meaning 'Diamond in Spanish, this cigar truly lives up to its name.
