Montecristo cigars, with a long history, are a global favorite and a benchmark. Handmade in the Dominican Republic's Tabacalera de Garcia factory. Originating in 1935 in Cuba, named after a novel. It had various developments and distributor changes. Montecristo No.2 is popular. After industry nationalization, production resumed in the Dominican Republic. Now owned by Altadis USA, it has diverse selections like the Classic Series with a high-grade Connecticut wrapper.
A darker, stronger upgrade to the original Montecristo Espada cigar line. The Grupo de Maestros have brought back a fan favorite but with a twist. In this go around, you can expect the same idea with the Nicaraguan filler and binder...but in place of the 2010 Jalapa Habano wrapper, they used a premium Habano Rosado Oscuro leaf. Expect rich notes of earth and leather in this complex, medium to full bodied masterpiece.
