Oliva Cigar Co. is a juggernaut that's one of the largest in Nicaragua yet remains boutique to its core and a darling of critics and cigar geeks. They have a plethora of 90+ ratings - 95, 96, and it's a fixture on the Cigar of The Year lists. The company as we know it was formed in 1995, but the family has been in the business dating all the way back to 1886, when Melanio Oliva started growing tobacco in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Fast-forward to today, and they are found in almost every smoke shop, online retailer, and humidor you can find.
