El Viejo Continente was founded in 2013. Its name means "The Old Continent" in Spanish, and the founder is Daniel Guerrero, a Nicaraguan of Spanish origin. The brand's inspiration stems from the story of the crew member Rodrigo bringing tobacco back to Europe in 1492. In 2019, the brand established a factory in Nicaragua, with an annual production of over 1 million cigars. It has 100 employees, 40 of whom are cigar rollers, and it also established an academy to pass on the cigar rolling techniques.
The founder's grandfather was a famous Spanish clown actor. This Nicaraguan cigar was created out of the founder's passion to pay homage to the circus. It is crafted by the cigar rollers carefully selected by the founder, presenting magical, rich and exuberant pleasures that surprise cigar enthusiasts. It uses top-grade cigar leaves from Estelí and Jalapa, combined with a glossy Habano Rosado wrapper, which endows the cigar with a delicate fragrance and a subtle richness. The rich aroma and the lingering roasted scent bring an excellent experience that awakens the senses.
